Miscellaneous Pictures

These are pictures that don't fit on any of my other picture pages.

Roxborough State Park

Roxborough is one of my favorite state parks in Colorado. The geology is very similar to Garden of the Gods or Red Rocks (both city parks, incidentally); in fact, it's actually the same geological formation that stretches across all three locations. I like this park much better than the other two because it gets a lot fewer visitors.

Waldo Canyon

Waldo Canyon is just west of Colorado Springs, right off of US 24. It's in the middle of Pike National Forest, and has a nice trail. This tree caught my eye when I was hiking there once, so I took a picture of it.

Hoover Dam

This angle caught my eye when I was visiting the dam. I don't think I've ever seen a picture of the dam taken from this side (of course, it's really hard to get to where pictures of the dam you usually see are taken from).

Sunset in the Mohave Desert

I saw this sunset driving through the desert after visiting Death Valley. So, I took a picture.

Guanella Pass

Guanella pass runs north and south just behind Mount Evans and Mount Bierstadt south of Georgetown. I was up there to see the Aspens change and wandered down to the Willows on the Bierstadt trail where I took this picture.

The Aspens

More aspens; this picture was taken just north of Eldora.
